Receiving Instructions for Freight Items

Receiving Instructions for Freight Items

Important: Please Read These Instructions Before Delivery of Your Order

You or someone representing you at the time of delivery is responsible for fully inspecting your order. Following these instructions carefully is crucial, as failure to do so may prevent you from successfully filing a damage claim if necessary.

IceMachinesPlus.com cannot be held responsible for orders that are not fully inspected before signing for delivery.

We recommend printing this page in advance or bookmarking it on your mobile device so you can reference it at the time and location of delivery.

Please do not let the freight driver pressure you into signing for your order unless you are fully satisfied. If you encounter any issues with the driver, contact IceMachinesPlus.com immediately at 1-877-900-4423.

1. Standard Delivery of a Freight Shipment

Standard delivery means the driver will bring your order to the edge of the truck. If you selected this option, you are responsible for unloading the freight from the truck. The driver will position the vehicle as close as possible to your receiving area, such as a loading dock or delivery entrance. If you do not have a loading dock, forklift, or other means of unloading your order, we recommend purchasing the Liftgate Delivery option at the time of your order. The driver is not responsible for removing the freight from the truck or bringing it inside your location.

Note: Plan ahead for your freight delivery. Ensure that you have enough experienced personnel to unload your shipment, especially for large orders like equipment or multiple items. Have the necessary tools and equipment ready, such as a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, dolly, crowbar, etc.

2. Carefully Inspect the Outside of the Freight Package or Packing Material

If the package shows visible external damage, refuse the shipment. Do not sign for the freight. Inform the driver that you are refusing the shipment due to damage.

If you or your representative signs for and accepts delivery, you are taking full responsibility for the items. IceMachinesPlus.com cannot assist with replacements once the delivery is signed for, regardless of the item's condition. Refuse any damaged shipment and contact IceMachinesPlus.com immediately at 1-877-900-4423 to arrange for a replacement.

3. Unpack the Order and Completely Inspect All Items Before Signing

Even if the external packaging appears undamaged, you must fully unpack and inspect the contents for any damage that may have occurred during transit. It is your responsibility and right to do this before signing for the delivery.

The driver is required to wait while you unpack and inspect your items. If the driver is uncooperative, call IceMachinesPlus.com immediately at 1-877-900-4423.

4. Inspect Your Items for Damage or Missing Parts

After unpacking, carefully inspect each item for damage or missing parts:

  • Check exterior panels for scratches, dents, or dings.
  • Ensure equipment corners are not pushed in or crimped.
  • Examine pipes, tubes, coils, screens, and grillwork for any damage.
  • Inspect glass and plastic components for scratches, cracks, or other damage.

If you find significant damage, you may need to refuse the delivery. Minor cosmetic damage that does not affect the item's operation may be repairable. Call IceMachinesPlus.com immediately at 1-877-900-4423 to discuss your options. The driver must wait while you decide whether to sign for the delivery or refuse it.

5. If Satisfied with the Items’ Condition, Sign for the Freight Shipment

Once you have unpacked and thoroughly inspected each item, you can decide to either sign for the delivery or refuse it. If no significant damage or missing parts are found, you may sign for the delivery. Keep all shipping paperwork in case any unseen damage is discovered later. If you accept minor cosmetic damage, clearly record the damage on the Bill of Lading and sign for the delivery as accepted with cosmetic damage.

If you are unsure whether to refuse or accept the shipment, do not sign anything. Call IceMachinesPlus.com at 1-877-900-4423 immediately to discuss your options.

Once you have signed and accepted the delivery, you assume full responsibility for any damage discovered afterward. You will need to file and pursue any claims with the freight carrier on your own. IceMachinesPlus.com is not obligated to replace items or compensate for damage that occurred during transit if you have accepted delivery "as is."

Inspect all items thoroughly and refuse delivery if necessary. IceMachinesPlus.com will be able to ship replacement items more quickly if you refuse delivery of damaged goods.
